Just Meandering!

Today was an extremely hectic and rather tense work day. Fortunately, tomorrow is a holiday. I love holidays in the middle of the week! It just seems to brighten everyone's mood. We are going to enjoy the local parade and the "Fair on the Square" in the morning.

The 4th of July should be a time when we remember what it took for us to have the freedoms we enjoy. Instead - more and more - people just see it as a day off from work. Have you ever thought about the fact that no one else in the world celebrates the 4th of July or Thanksgiving or Memorial Day or Veteran's Day? There are probably multiple others that I haven't thought of. We have been given much - we have a responsibility to share with others who are less fortunate. Unfortunately - there are a lot of places that will not accept the help or, when it is given, bites (blows up) the hand that feeds it! I guess it is easier to hate than to accept help! We have seen that in the "War on Terror". Even in countries where we're simply trying to give the people of the country the opportunities to vote, worship freely, even go to school, Americans can be seen as the "bad guys" rather than the good guys. But we are the ones wearing the big white hats and in the end - right wins!

I always want the happy endings in the movies, where the good guys win!!!

I think the people who think america is wicked talk louder than the ones who actually like us!!!!

Yes, I enjoy the happy endings, too. I want to stand on the side of right, of good, of truth, of justice.

I don't want to be in a Sysephean (sp)world.
