Book Review of "Lonestar Homecoming"

This book had an interesting storyline to begin the book, but I felt the author hurried to the rescue and did not develop the characters and depth.  The rescue and subsequent relationships were really not handled in a realistic time frame.  The author could have spent more time developing the characters and their relationships.  The ex-fiance of Gracie and his story were not really touched upon until the climax at the end of the story.  The intertwining of the "bad guys" history with both characters could have used more depth as well.  It was almost like the history of Lieutenant Michaels, the murder of his brother, and the Mexican drug leaders was added to bind his story to Gracie's as an afterthought.

It was an okay read, but I don't know that I will read the other 2 books in the series.  I also would have liked to see more about a relationship with Christ tied into the rescue and story.

I liked it. Was an easy escapism read. Plus I liked that it was set in Texas. :)
