I guess my pampering is having my nails done once or twice a month.Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04018768293766814480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086365965399778072.post-34213303623004188942007-08-22T00:04:00.000-05:002007-08-22T00:04:00.000-05:00It's very important, Strawb, to take some time for...It's very important, Strawb, to take some time for yourself, whatever that might entail.

There's a very cool book for artists called "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. It helps with those who are 'blocked'... she talks about re-filling 'the well' that gets depleted after working on projects, by doing fun things for ourselves. It can just mean going for a walk in a park, or pampering ourselves in some small way. I think it can be applied to any career.

So don't forget to take the time to smell the roses.Incognitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09692949516037191969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086365965399778072.post-62266097495595496662007-08-21T22:43:00.000-05:002007-08-21T22:43:00.000-05:00Frasypoo & Kathy - I don't manage very well. That was a needed boost to my day today.

Allison - Welcome! I only have 1 child left at home right now and a spouse that travels quite a bit. I think my dilemma is that I need to be available for my family, but I have a desire to do something just for myself as well. I'm having a hard time reconciling those two. Then, of course, there is the job I'm being paid to do. Thank you for stopping by!Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04018768293766814480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086365965399778072.post-51788928398214474542007-08-21T20:44:00.000-05:002007-08-21T20:44:00.000-05:00I have just started playing golf, too! A few years ago I was in grad school, working full time and had 3 bigger kids at home and my husband led the music at church. Finally graduated, kids have flown the coop - sort of, now it's God, family and work. Keep posting about life. I'm a new reader and think we probably have a lot in common.
